Arunee Thai Cuisine

Arunee has a good variety of lunch specials (25 or more) from 11am-4pm for about $6 except for Wednesdays 12pm to 2pm when there is a buffet. The menu is extensive (about 150 dishes) and features quality authentic ingredients. The decor is quiet with the contrast of the original old tin ceiling and the clean new wood trim and paneling on the bottom 3 feet of the walls.

This is a red snapper in spicy chilli sauce.... outstanding! Good for two. At $17.95 it's on the high end of the price scale but well worth it....

...to live 1 block from Arunee. Super nice people, excellent Thai food all within a 2 minute walk. Bring a group of family and friends and go buck wild. Order 1 of everything and enjoy. If that is not possible, start with a Thai iced tea. Move on to any of the app's, salads or soups. Standouts: yum kunchiang a sausage salad (meat candy), hot soup, anything really. The wide noodles w/basil & chickedn is true comfort food. I will wind up reciting the entire menu, so just do yourself a favor & eat at Arunee's. You might just wind up moving to Jackson Heights.

I love the food at this great little restaurant. But I have to be honest about one of their policies. They don't deliver past a 5 block radius. I think they should increase that to 10 or 15 blocks. If enough people call to make a friendly suggestion, they may change their minds.

The food here is great. I would def. recommend this restaurant to anyone. Just beware of the spicy level. It might be too hot for some, but of course if you are going to a Thai restaurant in the first place, this is not a problem.
