A and J Pizza

Moderately diverse variety of pizza and pasta dishes in a busy atmosphere.

Two large TVs (sound is usually off)and plain formica diner tables jammed into all available space. Table service for pasta and dinner and lunch dishes. Or the usual line along the counter to select pizza slices to go or eat in. The clientele ranges from seniors to families with baby strollers having a full dinner to lots of teens and young adults coming for a quick slice of pizza just before or after a movie.

The Absolute Best Pizza!8 / 10

I have tried them all in the big apple. This restaurant might not be as popular as the others but it is in my opinion the best pizza I have ever tasted!
Not what it used to be2 / 10

Time was that A&J used to be the best slice pizza in Forest Hills but sad to say this is no longer even close to true. It's not that some other place has gotten better - it's that it has gone way way downhill. Ever since they expanded - well maybe the money went to rennovations or the new owners changed the formula but "it just ain't what it used to be" Where to go for decent sliced pizza in Foresth Hills? When you figure that out - please let us know.

I don't know what they have been adding to the breadcrumbs. Maybe they are trying to make sure that you buy a drink. $9.00 for a veal cutlet sandwich compaired to other Italian takeout places charging $5.50 is a little high.

This place has great pizza. That's why I'm here looking for the phone number.
